Comparative Religion Project

Present the Projects



Objective: Shown a presentation covering the 9 main world religions,  students will be able to identify various unique attributes the the world's main religions and define their differences in a comparative list. In addition students will be able to 


  • Compare and contrast beliefs of religions and faith traditions;
  • Evaluate similarities and differences in belief systems and rituals;
Rationale: Religion affects many aspects of public life. Governmental policies, daily practices, feelings of right and wrong, societal roles for men, women, children, etc, many times have a connection to a particular faith. Understanding the various belief system around the world will help students understand the actions taken by people of other countries as well as inside the USA.

Evidence: By comparing the various foundations, tenets, and beliefs, students will begin to identify the characteristics of a faith and the reasons behind those actions.

QUESTIONS:
Each group will create 5 questions for the final about their religion. Make sure each question can be answered by all classes that presented the same religion (meaning make sire the questions are general enough that each class that presented "Hinduism" would have presented the information that is on the question. Each question should be a fill-in question.
